Welcome to a substack dedicated to writing jobs for all experience levels
I hear it many times.... "I spend all my time searching for work and not doing work and earning money!"
Here’s your weekly updated list of free writing job leads.
Hi. My name is Stephen. I’ve worked in copywriting for many years and have lost jobs, gone poor, and bounced back again only to face more let-downs. That is until I knew how to look for work, craft the application and choose the best suited writing roles.
I will quash that issue of not finding work by saving you hours of time with my weekly updated lists of jobs for writers.
It’s a sad fact that far too many freelancers are waiting to hear from applications or sweating with painful tapping fingers as they hunt all day for work that suits their skills.
In addition, join my paid subscription service and gain access to lots more writer job opportunities every week.
I suggest two actions right now
Join my LinkedIn group, The Write Job Today and keep an eye on the free weekly updated list of remote writer jobs.
Beyond that, access many more lists of open writer jobs via the paid subscription. This will bring you a further list of open writing jobs that includes agency positions, blogging jobs for various niches, publishers to pitch, handpicked jobs from the top job sites, and fresh writer positions exclusive to this substack.
I’ll say this after years of experience: The writing jobs are out there by the hundreds.
I’m not talking about content mills. Or even only what’s advertised. Nope. I mean ACTUAL writing jobs you can do from home, as a freelancer or member of staff.
But you have to dig for them.
And that does take time. That means too much job hunting and not enough time earning money.
My substack solves this problem for remote writers needing to know about the best job leads consistently.
A job seeker with a plan grabs the work faster
It takes more than a quick Monster job site search, or an hour on Indeed, or applying on one site only like ProBlogger.
All these methods work to an extent but it’s not just the remote writer roles list you seek; you have an ideal job in mind. You want to wow high paying clients with your writing skills.
You don’t want to be slaving away at less than 3 cents a word!
No way.
Best to have a plan: What do I like to write about? What topics fit my skills? What are my stronger interests?
That’s why my lists, free and paid, are diverse in how they are presented. Rather than just posting writing jobs aimed at one niche, I do my upmost to make sure the lists of jobs are varied based on the niche, skills and your location.
Every job posted states if the writer can be located anywhere, or remote in the UK (Remote - UK) or US (Remote - US), or just Remote as the company may be open to applicants from any location.
You need a plan
A scatter approach to applying for writing jobs will either get you interviews fast or result in hours of digging for jobs over weeks. If you’re a new writer, you may discover the latter road to dismay.
It’s better to know what type of client you seek. What writing work sits within your comfort zone?
Browse the list of jobs on my remote writer job sites list weekly and also access lots more open vacancies and calls for writers as a paid subscriber.
For £3.99 a month, you won’t spend hours searching for jobs every week.
The jobs will come to you.
Want to fast track your job hunting
I will be sharing advice on all these aspects and willing to answer any queries with regards to writing for niches and queries about jobs with varied skill sets: freelance or/and remote.
So, head over to the links above and stay tuned for a weekly free list of writer job vacancies.
I wish you the best!
